Caranua is committed to providing clear and accessible information. It is one of our core service standards and we want to make sure that information about our application process is widely available and easy to understand.
In late 2016 we published an Easy to Read guide to applying for support from Caranua. This booklet uses easy to understand language and images to help explain the application process to people with an intellectual disability. It was produced in collaboration with Inclusion Ireland and was proof read by persons with intellectual disabilities. If you would like copies of the booklet please contact us. In January 2017 we published a series of short information films on the application process to Caranua. We hope these films will be useful to everyone, but especially for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. The films all include subtitles and a sign language interpreter as well as someone saying the words.
