The 2016 Annual Report of Caranua has been published.
Caranua is an independent State body established in 2013, by the Residential Institutions Statutory Fund Act, (RISF) 2012 to manage a Fund for survivors of institutional abuse. In June 2016 it introduced changes to its services and criteria and now wishes to contract an independent review of these changes and their implementation. The broad purpose of this independent review is to assess the success of the changes introduced in June 2016.
Caranua is currently holding monthly information clinics for applicants in the Deaf Village. The information clinics are for applicants, or potential applicants who are deaf or hard of hearing.
