Dear Survivors – December update

As you know Caranua was given a limited fund of money (the Residential Institutions Statutory Fund) to provide financial supports to survivors of institutional abuse. Caranua has almost finished its work as the fund has nearly come to an end. 

High Court judgement ‘v’ independent Appeals Officer

On Friday 28th June Mr Justice Garrett Simons delivered a High Court judgement which supported the decision of the independent Appeals Officer to uphold a decision on an application made by Caranua regarding the introduction of the €15,000 /£12,000 limits in June 2016.
