I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone at Caranua. Whilst I was initially reluctant to apply and was put off by the huge amount of information I was sent, I somehow found the confidence to give Caranua a call. Thank goodness I did! The people I have spoken with have been so helpful and supportive, they have answered all of my questions, provided me with guidance and advice on the whole process and have helped me to make some really positive changes to my life.
The applications I have made for funding have been dealt with promptly and professionally, with someone to guide and advise me through it all.
I have utilised the funding to modify my home with items such as a stair lift, electric bed and an electric chair. I have upgraded the central heating and electrics and even had an alarm fitted. All of these have hugely benefitted my health and will mean I no longer have to worry about ageing electrics, faulty heating and even making me feel more secure in my home.
I have also used some funding to have complimentary therapies such as aromatherapy and acupuncture. It has been really important for me to heal myself from within and these therapies have really helped me start that journey.
I would encourage anyone who is entitled to this funding to make contact with Caranua, to speak to an advisor to at least see what they are eligible for. Don’t be afraid of being caught up with lots of paperwork and process, there is someone there to guide you through it and offer support along the way. I have always been treated with the utmost dignity and respect, and I would personally like to thank Patrick Cleary for his care and support. Patrick has gone above and beyond in helping me, and I truly believe that this has made the whole experience a positive one.
As service providers you may consider yourselves as “just doing your job”, but please don’t underestimate the impact this has on someone else’s life. The help I have had has been life changing and I would encourage others who are thinking about applying to go for it, it really could make all the difference to them too.
Once again thank you for your continued support.
