Conference marking the 20th Anniversary of the State apology to survivors – ‘Facing the future together’

May 2019 marks the 20th Anniversary of the state apology to survivors of institutional abuse and the 10th Anniversary of the publication of the Report of the Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse (the Ryan Report). This conference being organised by the Christine Buckley Centre and friends called ‘Facing the future together – Discussing Ireland’s lifelong responsibility to the survivors of institutional abuse’ will explore the progress made since these events and more importantly discuss the supports that survivors continue to need in the long term.
