When is Caranua closing?
Caranua is now in the process of winding down operations, this will be complete by 31st December 2020.
I did not apply to Caranua before the deadline, what do I do now?
Unfortunately Caranua is no longer accepting applications. There may be some other organisations that can provide you with advocacy supports. If you could like more information please contact Caranua between from 10 am to midday and 2 pm to 4 pm. Outside of these times, a voicemail and call back service will continue to operate. Did Caranua close on 1st August 2018?
No. Caranua did not close on 1st August 2018.
Caranua asked survivors who had not yet applied for support funding to send in their application form to us by Wednesday 1st August 2018 to ensure that their application could be processed.
Who could apply for the Fund?
Only people who have received awards through the Redress Board, Irish courts or settlements with religious congregations can apply.
Is my confidentiality protected?
We will only share your information if it helps us to meet your needs. and will never do this unless we have your permission.
